About the Scholarship
The Curtin Flying Club Scholarship Program aims to support aspiring pilots who are actively undertaking flight training and demonstrate a strong commitment to aviation.
Each successful recipient will receive:
- 10 hours of flight training in VH-KXW, Curtin Flying Club's flagship Cessna 172.
- $500 towards aviation-related incidental expenses.
- Recognition as a Curtin Flying Club Scholarship Recipient.
Two scholarships are awarded each year.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be under 25 years of age at the time of application.
- Applicants must be actively undertaking flight training.
- Applicants should demonstrate a genuine passion for aviation.
- Applicants should show commitment to progressing their flight training and aviation goals.
Train in VH-KXW
Scholarship recipients will complete their flying in VH-KXW, Curtin Flying Club's flagship Cessna 172 equipped with a Garmin G1000 glass cockpit.
The G1000 system provides a modern training environment and exposure to advanced avionics used throughout the aviation industry. Whether working towards a Recreational Pilot Licence, Private Pilot Licence, or further training milestones, recipients will benefit from training in one of the club's premier aircraft.
Selection Criteria
Applications will be reviewed by the Curtin Flying Club Committee. Selection will consider:
- Passion and commitment to aviation.
- Training progress and future goals.
- Personal achievements and involvement.
- The impact the scholarship would have on the applicant's aviation journey.
