Curtin Flying Club is formed at Jandakot Airport by a group of university flying enthusiasts who lease a two-seat Cessna 150.

The Club moves its operations to the Aeroplane Company and consoldiates its fleet, disposing of some aircraft.
The Club moves its operations to Minovation and aquires VH-CYF, a Cessna 172S.
The Club's 1980 Cessna 182Q (aptly registered VH-CFC) is sold. The Club also sells its Cessna 172, VH-MVD.
The Club acquires a 2003 model Cessna 172S, VH-CYQ.
The club sells VH-CYF and acquires a beautiful Garmin G1000 equipped 2008 Cessna 172S, VH-KXW. The aircraft becomes the Club's flagship carrier, named after founding member Bill Clarke.
The club moves its operations to the Royal Aero Club at Jandakot (RACWA).
The Club introduces a catchy new logo.
The Club introduces a new App and moves to paperless flight bookings and payments. The App allows members to remotely view the status of aircraft, such as fuel remaining, and maintenance status. The App also provides the Committee with valuable flight data, enabling the Club to make data-driven decisions.
Tragically, the Club's Cessna 172 VH-CYQ is lost in a crash at Whitegum Valley. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
The Club purchases a state of the art TECNAM P-2010 MKII as a replacement aircraft in June 2021. Due to border closures associated with the pandemic, the aircraft finally arrives in August 2021.
The Club acquires a Piper Cherokee PA-28, VH-POD, as a low-cost alternative, targetted at short Rottnest trips.
The Club consolidates its fleet and sells VH-POD and VH-ARQ.
A new chapter in the Club's history begins.
